Clarksville Dining, Shopping, and Entertainment

This month, we’re spotlighting the Clarksville neighborhood of Austin, Texas.  This week, we’ll be taking a look at the dining and entertainment options in this West Austin neighborhood.

Jeffrey’s is a Clarksville institution, known since the 1970’s for their high end food, cocktails and wine selection.  If you’re looking for a special occasion restaurant to really impress the one you love, Jeffrey’s is it!

Nau’s Enfield Drug has been in Clarksville since the 1950’s, but it’s so much more than a drugstore.  It has an old-fashioned soda fountain with delicious ice cream, shakes and malts, as well as a grill that serves up burgers and similar American fare.  A trip to Nau’s will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

Clark’s Oyster Bar is a much newer addition to the Clarksville area, but it’s quickly become a favorite among residents.  Billed as the “little brother” to Perla’s, the oyster restaurant on South Congress, Clark’s focuses on fresh oysters, simply prepared seafood, sustainable selections of caviar, house baked bread, hamburgers, brunch and a in-house created cocktails in an atmosphere that transports you to the seaside.

Cipollina bills itself as a West Austin bistro, but what that means for you is delicious food, amazing wines, and a comfortable, friendly atmosphere!  For lunch or dinner, Cipollina takes pride in serving dishes that work with the seasons and what is available locally.

Fresh Plus Grocery is the antidote to big box stores.  This comfortable neighborhood spot has fresh produce, meat and everything you need on your grocery list, plus you don’t have to worry about getting lost like in one of those giant stores that stocks everything from motor oil to bananas.
